Hello, parents! Welcome to Flower Hill Schoolhouse, my charming home-based daycare and preschool in Gaithersburg, MD! I'm the owner and main caregiver of this family child care program. I'm a mother of 2 with 10 years of child care experience. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology degree and a Child Development Associate's degree. I'm also First-aid certified as well as MAT trained, so I can administer medication to the children in my care if needed.

I believe that it is necessary to provide a nurturing, friendly, enriching, and safe environment for young growing children, and thus, I use the Montessori approach. As a former teacher, I have the experience needed to ensure that children have an atmosphere in which each child can experience fun and stimulating activities. At my daycare, I always work hard to provide a growing experience for your child!

We've created a nurturing environment with a nice open space and colorful wall decor. The space is warm and features welcoming details like artwork, a family tree, and photos that add a personal touch. We have larger activity sets for toddlers and smaller toys for infants. Additionally, our learning curriculum is prominently displayed, and we have dedicated centers for learning activities and artwork.

My child care and preschool program is open from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. I provide both full-time and part-time daycare, as well as drop-in care, for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years old. I can also accommodate before and after school care for kids up to 12 years old (we're near Flower Hill Elementary and Strawberry Knoll Elementary). My facility is peanut and tree-nut free, and snacks are served to the children in my care (included in the tuition). I also run a fun and exciting summer camp program! At Flower Hill Schoolhouse, Your child will explore shapes, colors, numbers, animals, and the days of the week while enjoying singing and dancing to stay active. Our commitment to safety is reflected in our COVID procedures: we ensure that children wash their hands after drop-off and before/after nap and snacks. We also vacuum and clean toys at the end of each day, to maintain a clean environment for your child's well-being.

Flower Hill Schoolhouse is located in Gaithersburg MD, in the Flower Hill community. My home is off Centerway Rd and Snouffer School Rd (near Strawberry Knoll Local Park and Flower Hill Park).
