Impressionable Years has 9000 sq. ft of space and amenities with an indoor downtown Annapolis theme with hand painted murals everywhere that will WOW your child. We have a library, computer center, indoor play room, lofts, pool table, air hockey table, ball pit, an outdoor playgrounds and much, much more. We are one of the best and largest centers in the Crofton/Gambrills area. We have 2 Infant Rooms, 1 Toddler Rooms and 4 Preschool Rooms. We service Bowie, Piney Orchard, Odenton, Fort Meade, Annapolis and all its surrounding areas. We use The Creative Curriculum for Infants, and Toddlers which translates research and theory from the field of early childhood education into a practical, easy-to-understand approach to working with children and their families. It is a comprehensive curriculum with a clear organizational structure and a particular focus on routines and experiences. The Creative Curriculum is a comprehensive system that includes curriculum, assessment, implementation and evaluation, and professional development. It motivates teachers, create high-quality learning environments, and promote successful curriculum implementation that supports positive outcomes for children. The Creative Curriculum is the country’s leading scientifically based, research-validated, comprehensive curriculum with guidance on teaching literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies. This inclusive, strength based approach is appropriate for all children, including dual-language learners and children with disabilities. We use some of the ABEKA Preschool Curriculum for our 2-5 year olds. This material offers a very colorful way to teach your toddlers things like basic language arts and numbers. There is also a basic reading program called ‘Six Easy Steps to Reading’ for the four year olds. It gives us the opportunity to fully prepare your child for kindergarten beginning as young as two years old.
