Dear parents, welcome to Dawson Farm Kids Playhouse in Germantown, MD! Our home-based daycare and preschool program is nestled in a quiet residential community right off Dawson Farm Rd & Mateny Rd. With easy access to Great Seneca Hwy and just a few minutes away from the I-270, our location offers a convenient commute to work, while also being a short walk to Germantown Elementary School. We're open from 7:00am - 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, and enroll children from 3 months to 5 years old. Whether you're looking for full-time care, part-time, before-school care, or even flexible drop-in childcare options, we’ve got you covered. Our in-home daycare isn't just a licensed childcare facility; it's a warm, welcoming space where your little one will be nurtured to grow, learn, and have fun!

I'm the owner and caregiver of this childcare program and I embarked on this journey to connect with families seeking not just a daycare but a home away from home for their precious infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. My 15 years of hands-on experience and being a mother to three beautiful children have taught me the unique potential that every child possesses. Here, I strive to foster strong self-esteem and eagerness to learn. My philosophy is based on the powerful interconnection between adults and children, emphasizing personal care, one-on-one interaction, and a mutual journey of learning and growth. Yes, I believe that we, as adults, can also learn from children. That is why I love this job so much, I get to learn from children, as they learn from me! At Dawson Farm Kids Playhouse, every day is a new adventure, with a daily schedule planned to balance learning with fun and active play. The day begins with using the bathroom and diaper changes for infants and toddlers, as well as a morning snack. Circle time brings us together for storytelling, sparking imaginations, and fostering a love for reading. Our curriculum, tailored for all age groups, includes math, writing, and music, encouraging a holistic approach to learning. After a nap to recharge, the children enjoy outdoor play in our fenced backyard or the nearby community playground. Children end their day with free play, before getting prepped for pick-up.
