Welcome to Leaman Farm Little Academy, a licensed child care center and preschool in Germantown, MD. We are conveniently located at the intersection of Germantown Road (MD-118) and Clopper Road (MD-117), just off Leaman Farm Rd, in the Kingsview neighborhood.

Leaman Farm Little Academy offers a high-quality, Montessori-based preschool program that is both affordable and bilingual. Our approach encourages children to choose their learning activities, fostering independence, skill development, and the ability to overcome challenges. We are also thrilled to offer a bilingual Spanish program, giving children the opportunity to develop or enhance their Spanish-speaking skills at an early age.

We’re open year-round, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, offering flexible options for working and busy families. Our programs include full-time and part-time care, as well as before and after-school care for children aged 2 to 6 years. During the summer, we also offer a fun and engaging summer camp! Plus, we accept childcare subsidy vouchers and provide a military family discount.

As the proud co-owner and director of Leaman Farm Little Academy, I bring over 20 years of child care experience and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a focus on Early Childhood Education. As a mother myself, I understand the importance of finding a program that provides high-quality care and a safe, trustworthy environment for your child. Our experienced and dedicated staff is committed to delivering the best care and service. I am certified in CPR, First Aid, and MAT (Medication Administration Training), ensuring your child’s safety is always our priority. Our goal is to share our passion for child care with families, creating a nurturing environment where children thrive, and parents feel confident leaving their little ones in our care. We take great pride in seeing how the lessons taught at our center positively impact our students’ lives at home. Our day begins with a warm welcome for families at the entrance. Inside, children start with activities like puzzles and building blocks, followed by snack time. We emphasize important habits like cleaning up after themselves and then transition into engaging lessons and activities planned for the day. Weather permitting, outdoor playtime allows children to explore and enjoy our playground safely. Lunchtime follows, where we encourage children to help clean up and develop a sense of responsibility. After lunch, we have another group activity before winding down for nap time. As the day comes to an end, children from different classrooms gather to interact, socialize, and prepare for pick-up time.

We’ve designed our daycare center to ensure children and parents feel safe, comfortable, and welcomed.
