First United Methodist Day School, Hurst

Our purpose is to provide an exemplary educational program for infants, toddlers and preschool children in a positive Christian environment. Day School strives to meet the needs of the whole child through learning experiences that encourage physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and cognitive development and prepares them for a successful transition to Kindergarten. Day School is licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Our staff receive 24 hours of training in early childhood education annually. We proudly offer: • Small student/teacher ratios • Two teachers per classroom • Competitive rates • Academic-based curriculum with Christian values Our students attend Chapel, PE, and Music weekly in addition to daily outside recess. We use Frog Street curriculum for our infants, toddlers, and 2’s classes, and the Get Set for School Handwriting Without Tears curriculum for our 3’s and Pre-K classes. Many other resources are used as well so that teachers are selecting activities that provide a balanced program of early childhood education.
