I have been a licensed home care provider for 31 years, in the same home. I still receive Christmas cards and pictures of children who are now grown. One girl who is now 16 years old, started here at 3 months, and has come during school breaks and summers to help when I was also keeping kindergarten age children. She now babysits for some of the current parents. I provide a home like atmosphere, but with structure and scheduling. That is needing when there are 6 children needing care, and it helps to get them ready for VPK. But is not as strict as being in large centers. I feel they will be in a classroom setting for many years, and need to enjoy being little. Making forts with sheets or playing in the sprinkler. Babies need to be cuddled. With a small group, the parents are more likely to get acquainted. Sometimes parents and children have become good friends and stayed friends long after leaving here. I will be happy to answer any questions, and have plenty of references. I also have a packet of information which tells more about myself, and the childcare.
