The Amar Children’s Center, funded by the California Department of Education, provides all day, year-round child care services to children between the ages of 2– 5. Families must be income eligible, and must be working or attending school, in order to qualify for services.
The Child Development/ Early Primary Programs is a community of faculty, staff, parents and children who are committed to developing life-long learners of all ages and who value themselves and the diversity of all people. All preschool students are assessed during the school year using the Desired Results Development Profile, a research-based observation tool, to determine the developmental level of each student in the areas of personal and social competence, effective learning, physical and motor competence, and health and safety.
