DKH Academy, established in 1979, is a private school serving the educational needs of children ages two and a half to seven. DKH strives to offer the highest quality preschool education in the area and promotes the philosophy of Dr. Arnold Gesell, as well as the theories of Jean Piaget and Maria Montessori, in order to develop the whole child intellectually, emotionally, physically and socially. At DKH Academy, all of our different age groups utilize curriculum that is developmentally appropriate and play based, allowing each child to create, explore, investigate, and learn in all curricular domains, such as language arts, math, science, social studies, gross motor, fine motor, music and creative arts. Each classroom takes on the originality of the individual teachers, and is welcoming and inviting through the love and nurturing that comes from our professionalism and love of teaching! We LOVE what we do, and it shows!
