A foundation for future success and life-long learning is provided in partnership with the family, parish and school community.
St. Philip Neri School follows the Archdiocese of Baltimore Early Childhood Course of Study, adapted from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). We recognize that an early childhood program is essential to a child’s spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive and physical development. By state regulation, we require a child entering PreK must be four years old by 9/1/2014.
Parents have the option to pick either a full or a part-time program. Part-day students are still five days a week, but dismiss at 12:15 PM each day. For the 2014-2015 school year, tuition for full-time is $5,625, and $3,750 for part-time.
St. Philip Neri School follows state regulation requiring a child entering Kindergarten be five years old by 9/1/2015.
Kindergarten is a full- day program, with the school day running 8:10 AM- 3:00 PM. Extended Day Care is available. For the 2015-2016 school year, tuition for full-time students is $5,795.
Doors in the school open at 7:45 and dismissal is at 3:00. Students start their day with the rest of the school in prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Afterwards, they are ready to start their academic routine which includes: Catholic curriculum of math, snack, morning recess, religion, phonics, lunch, rest time, afternoon recess, center time – where they re-visit in a hands- on way the academic themes of the day – and then the “special” class of the day. Kindergarten students are blessed with the opportunity to have six “specials” that happen once a week. These classes include: music, Spanish, library (where the children can bring a book home for the week), gym, art, and computers.
