Laurel Hill Playhouse is a licensed home-based daycare and preschool in Lorton, VA. This bilingual Spanish child care facility is located near Silverbrook Rd and Lorton Rd, with easy access to the Henry G. Shirley Memorial Hwy (I-95).

Laurel Hill Playhouse is a bilingual Spanish daycare, so children are taught the Spanish language in addition to English. This daycare follows the Play-based learning teaching philosophy, allowing children to learn through play and educational activities. This approach has been proven to be an effective way to develop a child's socio-emotional and cognitive skills. They use the STREAMin³ Curriculum Model along with Teachstone and mixes those with their own curriculum that they have used for years. Some daily activities and crafts surround holidays and seasons. If weather permits, they go outside to their private playground where they spend their outdoor playtime. At the end of the year, each child goes home with a binder full of their crafts and worksheets.

The child care facility is open from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm and offers care for infants as young as 6 weeks as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old (including children with special needs). They offer both full-time and part-time child care, including drop-in care. This facility provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks in a peanut-free and tree-nut free environment. The daycare also offers before and after school care for school-age children up to 10 years old (they are near Lorton Station Elementary School and Laurel Hill Elementary School). If you prefer, they can possibly arrange transportation for your child (the cost is not included in the tuition though, so please inquire to ask about extra transportation costs).
