About
Occidental's Child Development Center opened in 1993 and is licensed by the state to care for 42 children ages two to 5. The center, which is staffed by six teachers and offers a preschool curriculum, is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. All children receive breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. The CDC is located on the Occidental campus and is available to children whose parents are full- or part-time employees of the College. Children of Occidental students, alumni and members of the surrounding community also are eligible.
