Wonder Preschool is like no other early learning experience in Fort Collins. Wonder is the best of both childcare worlds: one-on-one attention of a nanny, but the socialization and quality education of a preschool. With only 1-3 children in my care, so much more is possible than the alternative of traditional daycare with over 10 kids per teacher. However it still has the quality education and socialization that public preschools provide. Wonder provides care for up to 3 children aged 4 months to 6 years of age. This can be one family with 3 children under 6 years old or two or three different families with 1 child. This Spring semester (March 19th-May 4th) is open part-time, 5 days a week, from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Summer semester (May 14th-August 17th) is open full-time, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. And Fall semester (August 20th-December 21st) will be open part-time, 3 days a week (M/T/W OR W/Th/F) from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Current students get priority of the next semester spots, so I will keep my site updated with how many spots are available. My hours are somewhat flexible so let me know your schedule needs and we will work together. I can stay open late on week nights and also do weekend care occasionally (with enough notice). I provide a nature-based curriculum with an emphasis on arts. I follow NAEYC standards, Colorado Shines, and align my curriculum with the State of Colorados Early Learning and Development Guidelines so that your child is ready and prepared for Kindergarten. I am passionate about child-led interactions and lessons. I provide a unique curriculum, tailored to the specific child and craft individualized lesson plans. I always put safety first and my biggest priority is teaching kindness and empathy. We go out on adventures every day to socialize with other kids and learn more about our community. See below for a sample of places we will go. My home provides a wonderful, cozy, safe, well-equipped environment for your child. I believe every child deserves a sacred space to learn. I have all the necessary supplies and healthy and wholesome lunches and snacks are included. I believe the classroom should act as a third teacher through thoughtful and intentional provocation set-ups. I am passionate about the power of play-based learning at this age, so were having fun all day long! I have a safe fully-fenced backyard where we will play every day. My home is in a very family-friendly, safe neighborhood with lots of trails & a fun neighborhood park. I have a clean, safe car and am an extremely cautious driver with a clean driving record. I am certified and updated in: First Aid, Child and Infant CPR, Medication Administration & Universal Precautions. My household includes: Riley, my fiance, and our two young dogs. Riley is a firefighter and also loves kids, he is occasionally home during school hours so its important you meet him and are comfortable with him being around sometimes. Our dogs, Brody & Trixy, are very well behaved, but they still get overly excited with new people. They graduated puppy school, but are still in training to be more calm.
