Bright Ideas Enrichment Center, Midlothian

Bright Ideas Enrichment Center (previously Midlothian Children's Academy) is a licensed, comprehensive care facility that offers developmentally appropriate preschool education and before and after school recreation. Our curriculum begins with a basic knowledge of how children grow, develop, and learn. It provides for a balance of activities that are structured and unstructured, active and quiet, indoor and out, individual and group, teacher-directed and child- directed. Growing children learn best by interacting with their world at their own pace and according to their own interests. We believe that this approach allows children to focus on discovery and the process of learning necessary for future educational success. We are committed to providing the most exciting, creatively stimulating environment possible for each child. using developmentally appropriate practice, planned activities address each child's personal/social, cognitive, gross/fine motor skills and speech/ language development. Our teacher developed curriculum uses weekly themes that teaches phonics, math, science, music and foreign language which are enhanced through learning centers as well.
