Our Mission: With over 70 years in business, Happy Acres Preschool and Summer Program consistently provides a high quality and developmentally appropriate environment for children to learn and grow. Our experienced teachers embrace the view that each child is a unique person with an individual pattern and timing of social, physical, and cognitive development. We strongly believe each child deserves the opportunity to participate in a well-rounded early education program where family and teachers work hand in hand. Educational Philosophy: At Happy Acres, we believe that each child deserves the opportunity to excel and explore in a supportive and nurturing environment. We offer safe, developmentally appropriate, nurturing and educational experiences for children and peace of mind for parents. Our programs are structured to meet the developmental needs of children ages 2-5 during the school year and up to 8 years of age during the summer. Our teachers facilitate students to learn through active involvement with people, materials, events, and ideas. Children will become independent, responsible, and confident---ready for school and ready for life! Faculty: Our qualified teachers serve as positive role models and provide care that is supportive, loving, nurturing, warm and responsive to each child's individual needs. We respect parents as the primary and most important providers of care. We believe in teaming together with parents and offering them many resources, including social events and parent workshops. Here at Happy Acres, we facilitate active learning through direct, hands-on experience with people, objects, events and ideas.
