The early years of a child's life are the most important to his/her development. In these years he/she develops a concept of himself/herself, God, and others. This concept creates a pattern of feelings and behavior which will direct and guide him/her during all of life's experiences.
TLC is a learning place. It is a place to experience oneself in relationship to God, to others, and to the environment through planned, guided activities. It is a place of caring, a place where their individual is loved, accepted, and valued as a unique creation of God. It is a place of wonder that provides the opportunity to question, to explore, to succeed, and to celebrate in God's world.
The learning environment is planned to allow freedom to be creative. However, limits will be set to help the child learn about safety, and develop a respect for property and the rights of others. Our days are structured in away to make the most out of the time spent here. Children that are between the age of 2-5 are in a structured academic focused day.
We use the A Beka curriculum. The curriculum is focusing on early literacy skills. It also works on numbers, shapes, writing and Bible lessons. The Center also provides weekly extra curricular activities for all students enrolled. It is our desire to expose students to a variety of topics and learning materials.
We offer Fun and Fitness, Music, Leap Lab, Outdoor Learning, Science; Spanish is integrated in their classrooms. Each classroom will learn the following in English/Spanish, days of the week, colors, numbers, alphabet, key phrases. There are no additional fees for extra curricular activities.. It is the desire of TLC to be an extension of the home and therefore we encourage a working relationship between the home and staff of TLC
