Do you want your child to grow up with beautiful memories of playing outside in nature? Do you want your child in an environment with teachers who believe that learning should be FUN and should be based on the child's interests? Do you want your child in a place where their needs are honored and respected? Do you want your child in an environment where there is a natural flow and rhythm, where a child can breathe as they discover, explore, and create? So do we. We want that for our daughter, and we want that for your child, too.
We're different than many preschools! We've been known to offer Reggio Emilia style provocations using materials from Experience Preschool Curriculum, a nationally recognized curriculum that aligns with the IL Early Learning and Development Standards. We do our best to weave Waldorf-inspired appreciation of the arts into all academic disciplines. We have carefully curated an ever-changing child-centered classroom, inspired by Maria Montessori, so that children of multiple ages have opportunities to take responsibility for their learning, and teachers become guides to help facilitate the learning.
The teachers here will never stop learning and growing! We attend several virtual conferences each year. We've recently attended a class by Nature Explore about using our outdoor classroom as a third teacher. We attended a conference last month called "Free to Play," created by Fairy Dust Teaching, that was life changing. We're attending a seminar this week from The Educator Summit, where 30+ nationally recognized presenters are sharing what they've learned over their careers. We want our students to learn to appreciate the beauty of this world through everyone they meet. We want our students to grow up and never stop learning. We want our students to be world changers. They are capable of so much more than we realize.
This year, my heart and my mind are telling me to slow down... and breathe. Contact us today if you and your child are ready to "just breathe" in a fun, safe environment where all children and all families are respected and appreciated. We're looking forward to meeting you and your family!
