My name is Daniela, I have been working with children of different ages since 1999, I have a DCFS Family Daycare License. I obtained my Degree in Early Childhood Education. I provide the highest quality child care. I achieve this through a combination of education, experience, a positive attitude and most importantly a love of children. Our home-daycare is a safe and happy place where children can learn and grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially at their own pace. I provide the children under my care opportunities to learn with mixed aged groups where they can feel safe, loved and can begin to build a positive self image. In a clean and interesting environment, I encourage children's curiosity, creativity, confidence, independence, discovery, cooperation, and language. I believe in the value of playing. Through play, children will learn cognitive, language, physical and social skills. I encourage the children to use their imagination and provide an area with costumes for dress up and have a tiny kitchen for pretend play. I promote role playing, story telling and join the children at play. I love music and dance and incorporate these elements into everyday. Some days, the children and I play instruments, sing songs, have dance parties or just listen to music from all genres. I truly believe in complementing the parent/child relationship and maintaining a caring and responsible value system. Promoting parent involvement is essential to develop partnership between child, parent and teacher. Parents are welcome to participate in daycare activities. I believe in respecting any family culture and beliefs, giving them the opportunity to feel free to share or give any comments or ideas for the program. As a Family Daycare Educator, I believe that every child will develop different. A lot of thought and effort goes into planning our weeks and developing new programs to incorporate into our daycare. I always plan developmentally appropriate activities. The most important thing to remember is that I truly love and respect all the children under our care.
