Welcome to Glenmont Forest Children's Den, our licensed home-based daycare and preschool in Silver Spring, MD. Located in the Glenmont Forest neighborhood of Wheaton-Glenmont in Silver Spring, our child care facility is near Randolph Rd, just a few minutes away from the Glenmont metro station and Wheaton High School. This makes your daily commute to work convenient, as we’re also close to major routes like Georgia Ave, Connecticut Ave, and Veirs Mill Rd.

As a mother of three with 14 years of child care experience, I understand how important it is for you to find the right place for your child. I want to assure you that your child will be safe, happy, and well cared for at my daycare. I’m not just a child care provider; I’m a mom who genuinely loves being around children. I have been a stay-at-home mom for many years, taking care of my own children. I have also spent 18 years working as a nursing assistant so you can be re-assured that your children will be in good hands with me! My own kids are now grown up and in school, and I miss the joy of having little ones around all day, so I decided to open my home to care for other children. I am MAT trained and hold certifications in first aid and CPR, so you can feel confident that your child is in safe hands. I truly believe that children thrive in a loving, home-like environment, and I’m committed to providing that for your child.

Glenmont Forest Children's Den offers a wide range of programs options to fit your family's needs, including full-time care, part-time care, before & after school care, a preschool program, as well as drop-in care if you only have occasional needs. Our hours of operation are from 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. We care for children from as young as 6 weeks to 5 years old, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. We also understand the importance of nutrition in your child’s growth, which is why we provide a healthy lunch and snacks throughout the day. All meals are peanut-free and tree-nut-free to ensure the safety of all children. We are proud to offer a nursing / breastfeeding room for mothers who wish to nurse their infants comfortably.

At Glenmont Forest Children's Den, we believe that children learn best through play and hands-on experiences. That’s why we use a play-based curriculum that encourages creativity, exploration, and learning in a natural way. We incorporate arts, music, and plenty of outdoor play into our daily routine because we know that these activities help children develop important skills while having fun. These activities not only foster creativity but also help in developing fine motor skills and social interaction.
