Dear parents, thank you for interest in Adelphi Heights Children's Place, my small home daycare in Silver Spring.
My family child care program is located off New Hampshire Ave and Adelphi Rd, in the Adelphi Heights neighborhood of Silver Spring, MD. My daycare is very conveniently located for your commute to work, since we are just a minute away from the I-495.
I’m the owner and caregiver, and I am a mother of 3 kids myself. My children are now older (between 7 and 12 years old), and after volunteering both at a child care center and at a school, I have decided to open my very own home-based child care program!
I follow the Maryland Excel Curriculum and play-based learning approach and engage the kids in different educational activities like arts & crafts, circle time, etc. I also teach them how to put the toys back after they have played with them. My goal is to prepare them for school.
I’m first-aid and CPR certified as well as MAT trained. To prevent the spread of any type of disease caused by viruses and bacteria, I sanitize tables, chairs, and surfaces throughout the day. I also take the temperature of the kids at pick-up.
My child care hours are Monday-Friday between 7 am and 5:30 pm and I offer full-time and part-time child care for newborns, toddlers and children up to 5 years old. Meals are already included in the tuition (I provide lunch for kids above 2 years old and snacks for 6 months and above).

My daughter loves attending this family child care program. During morning drop offs, my daughter instantly says bye and closes the door on her father and I. The owner and her husband are the best! They genuinely love all the children. They care about them well beyond them just coming to daycare. She potty trained my toddler!

My child feels loved, safe, and in a clean environment with this provider. She has a spacious backyard to play outdoors and space inside as well. She provides developmentally appropriate toys for the children. She offers great advice for the many stages of life that babies go through. The advice was needed as first time parents.
It’s a great feeling when you know you’ve left your child with someone who loves them. Thank you for all you do!

I love this Daycare and I recommend this childcare prorgam to anyone with children under 5 years of age. It's very convenient for me because it's close to my area and the location is well where it should be for kids anyone in the AldelphI community. My kids love it here and since it's new, it's exceptionally clean. The owner cares for the kids like they are her own. 5 stars from me.
