Preschool In the Park, Springfield

The philosophy of the preschool program is that every child should be given the best chance to grow and develop intellectually, emotionally, and socially. The program features professional staff directing activities that encourage development of individual interests, refinement of motor skills, and preparation for Kindergarten. The curriculum is based on the Illinois Early Childhood Learning Standards. Washington Park Preschool is a play-based program. Children build a foundation for later learning as they solve problems and increase their understanding of themselves, other people and the world around them. We set up rooms to be welcoming and inviting places for the children to explore. Students can be signed up any time during these sessions (based on availability).
