Monticello Woods Playhouse, Springfield

I’m the owner of this small family child care and early childhood education program. I’m a professional caregiver with 13 years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Education. Your kids will be safe with me since I’m CPR & First-aid certified. Before opening my own daycare, I worked as a child care assistant at another licensed facility. Like you, I’m a parent, so I know how difficult it is to leave your baby in someone else’s care. If you choose me, I’ll make sure to treat your children as if there were my own and provide them with plenty of individualized attention.

Monticello Woods Playhouse is a play-based early learning program offering academic activities such as reading, writing, and learning ABCs, numbers, and shapes. I speak Bengali in addition to English and if you want, I can teach your child this foreign language (my daycare is not a bilingual program though). We engage our little students in outdoor playtime by going outside to my fully fenced backyard, which I plan to convert into a full playground. We also explore nature and learn about the earth and animals during their outside play.

My home-based daycare and preschool is open year-round from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Mondays to Fridays. I offer full-time and part-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers between the age of 6 weeks and 4 years old. I provide tree-nut free lunch and snacks to all kids attending my program and these are already included in the tuition.

We wash our hands regularly to prevent illness and keep the kids healthy. Toys that go in a child's mouth go in a special "dirty" bin and get cleaned at the end of the day.

Monticello Woods Playhouse is located in the Monticello Woods neighborhood in Springfield, VA. I'm near Springfield Estates Elementary School and the Springfield Town Center. To help your commute, I have easy access to all these major roads: Franconia Rd (route 644), S Van Dorn St (route 613), Beulah St (route 613), and Franconia-Springfield Pkwy (route 289).
