Edsall Park Children's Place, Springfield

Dear parents, I invite you to visit Edsall Park Children's Place, my home daycare in Springfield, VA. I’m a professional child care provider offering safe, affordable, and nurturing child care in a cozy and friendly environment. I have 8 years of experience, and I hold an Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Development degree. I'm also currently getting my Associate’s Degree in Early Care and Education. I run my daycare with my full-time assistant, we’re both moms and certified in CPR & First-aid. My assistant holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.

Edsall Park Children's Place is open year-round between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm from Monday through Friday. I offer a play-based program and full-time child care for infants and toddlers starting at 2 months, as well as a preschool program for children up to 5 years old. I participate in the USDA Food Program and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks to all children in my care (meals are already included in the tuition). To prevent any infectious diseases and the spread of germs, I always sanitize toys and surfaces. Temperature is also taken three times a day at a drop-off, before nap, and before children leave my daycare.

My curriculum follows a Pre-K format that integrates the STREAMin3 curriculum model and daily activities include learning numbers, letters, sight words, shapes, colors, etc. For children three years and older, I make sure that children can write their names. I focus even more on making sure they have excellent manners, respect others, and know how to interact and play with their peers. Arts & Crafts, Music, Dancing, Story Time, Outdoor Playtime are some of the fun activities in store for them (I have my own fenced yard with a large playground). I always strive to create a stimulating and happy environment for my young students. I have a bright playful space with cartoon characters and themed walls to make my space inviting to children. I also have age-appropriate toys and materials that encourage learning and motor skills. I speak Spanish fluently and upon your request, I can teach your child this foreign language in addition to English. My daycare is not a bilingual program, however, this is an amazing opportunity for your little one to learn this beautiful language. Furthermore, I place a strong emphasis on instilling good manners and respect for others. My approach is guided by a passion for fostering children's growth and development.

Edsall Park Children's Place is in the Edsall Park neighborhood in Springfield, VA. My home is right off Edsall Rd (route 648) and Backlick Rd (route 617), near Deerlick Park. I have easy access to major roads, so your morning and evening commute will be more convenient: I’m close to Braddock Rd (route 620) and a few minutes’ drive away from the I-495 and I-395.
