Edsall Park Kids Corner, Springfield

Welcome to Edsall Park Kids Corner, my intimate daycare in Springfield, VA! I’m a mother of 2 with 10 years of experience in child care and early education and an Associate's Degree in Arts. I’m CPR & first aid certified, as well as MAT trained so I can administer medication to all kids in my care. I also did training courses in ASQ2 (Ages & Stages Questionnaires®: Social-Emotional, Second Edition) and ASQ3 (Ages & Stages Questionnaires®, Third Edition) to be able to evaluate the cognitive and psychomotor development of the children.

Edsall Park Kids Corner is open year-round from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I offer full-time care for infants as young as 2 months, to 12 months old. I serve breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks to all the children in my care (included in the tuition!) My family child care program is a bilingual Spanish daycare so I can teach your little one to speak Spanish. I teach everything in Spanish and English including numbers, shapes, and colors. Children learn to count to 100 and draw each letter of the alphabet. They go outside to play twice a day and have circle time every morning to discuss the weather outside and the day of the week. I follow the Play-based teaching philosophy and use the Creative Curriculum. This approach is an effective way of learning through play and fun educational activities (e.g. Arts & Crafts). My facility is a child-friendly environment; I prioritize their safety, especially during our outdoor playtime.

Edsall Park Kids Corner is in the Edsall Park neighborhood of Springfield, VA. My home is right off Edsall Rd (route 648) and just 2 minutes' drive away from Backlick Rd (route 617). My child care facility is conveniently located for commuters since I have easy access to major roads Braddock Rd (route 620), Little River Turnpike (route 236), Capital Beltway (I-495), and Henry G.
