Our Facility
Preschool
We use the Creative Curriculum while employing some of the influences and techniques of Maria Montessori and Reggio Emilia, Italy. We believe that children learn by doing and exploring in an environment where they feel nurtured and encouraged to strive for excellence and be who they want to be. Learning isn’t just repeating what someone else says; it requires active thinking and experimenting to find out how things work and to learn firsthand about the world we live in.
The activities we plan for children, the way we organize the environment, select toys and materials, plan the daily schedule, and talk with children, are all designed to accomplish the goals of our curriculum and give your child a successful start in school.
Our Efforts
Going Green/Eco Healthy Child Care
OEC created the Eco-Healthy Child Care® program in 2005 to support child care providers in creating child care settings that are as environmentally healthy as possible. The program allows parents to choose child care facilities that are committed to creating a safer, healthier environment for children to learn and grow.
Reggio Emilia & Montessori
The Reggio Emilia approach to teaching young children puts emphasis on the natural development of children as well as the close relationships that they share with their environment at the center of its philosophy. Alongside this approach, Montessori is characterized by an emphasis on independence, freedom within limits, and respect for a child’s natural psychological development, as well as technological advancements in society. We incorporate these techniques into our curriculum in order to cultivate the most effective learning environment possible.
