Welcome to Colvins Glen Educational Playhouse, my educational daycare and preschool in Vienna, VA! My child care program is located in a beautiful, bright and large home the Covins Glen neighborhood of Vienna, right off Leesburg Pike (route 7) and Hunter Mill Rd (route 674). Your commute to work will be convenient since our facility has easy access to the Dulles Access Rd (route 267) and Fairfax County Pkwy (route 286). I’m the owner and lead teacher and I have 15 years of experience in providing quality care and early childhood education. I’m a mother of 2 myself, and I hold a Master’s degree in Accounting. I run the program with my 2 assistants who have 9 years of combined experience. We are CPR and First-aid certified, so you can be assured that your child is in good hands at all times!

We understand how difficult it is for parents to leave their precious ones whenever they have to go to work, that is why we give every child the personal care and attention they deserve and we strive to make them feel at home in a safe and nurturing environment. Our curriculum is designed to develop each child’s physical, socio-emotional and intellectual skills. We also use positive reinforcement to foster discipline and we teach our little students to be kind. Our home-based daycare and preschool program follows the Play-based teaching philosophy. We allow our students to learn through play and exploration; we prepare fun and educational activities for them to learn and grow. We have many age-appropriate activities included in their daily schedules such as arts & crafts, singing and music, dancing, painting, coloring, free play, and various fun, creative, educational projects! We also emphasize learning numbers, colors and shapes, so that they are at or above level when they enter grade school.

We are open from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We provide full-time care for infants as young as 6 weeks, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old for children between the age of 2 and 5 years old. We also offer before and after school care for older kids, up to 12 years old (our facility is not far from Forest Edge Elementary School, Aldrin Elementary School, Colvin Run Elementary School and Forestville Elementary School). We are part of the USDA food program and follow the state FDA food program. We serve balanced and home-made nutritious meals to all children in our care (breakfast, lunch and snacks are all included in the tuition) and due to possible allergies, we run peanut and tree-nut free environment.
