Kempsville Recreation Center Early Childhood Programs, Virginia Beach

Our affordable programs are conveniently located right in your child's school or nearby recreation center. We provide a safe and comfortable environment with programs that focus on healthy bodies, minds and spirits! Your child will engage in high-energy playtime activities, creative arts that stimulate the mind, and they'll have quiet time for homework. We also offer Spring Break and Summer Camps as well as all day camps when schools are closed for staff development days. Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation offers licensed recreation center-based preschool programs that provide children age 3 - 4 with the opportunity to explore, examine, and discover developmental skills while enabling independent thinking and hands-on activity. Held Monday through Friday, our preschool programs include a healthy snack; lunch will need to be provided by parent. Participants receive a Virginia Beach Recreation Center membership. Our experienced staff regularly attend training to build upon best practices when working with children, as well as maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
