About The Staff
Hi, parents! I'm the owner and lead teacher at Brightwood Park Children's Corner. With 20 years of experience in early childhood education, I’ve worked in many roles, from being a nanny to working as an assistant in another daycare. These experiences led me to follow my passion and open my own licensed daycare!
As a mother myself, I understand the love and care every child deserves, so I’m committed to creating a warm, loving, and safe environment for children to learn and grow. I believe in building strong, trusting relationships with each family I work with, and I consider the parents and children I work with as extended family.
I am certified in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration Training (M.A.T.), so you can feel confident that your little one is always in good hands. To ensure the safety and well-being of all children, we maintain a peanut-free and tree-nut-free facility. We provide nutritious lunches and snacks every day, included in the tuition, so you don’t have to worry about packing meals!
Hours, Ages, Programs
Brightwood Park Children's Corner provides both full-time and part-time care, as well as a preschool program. We care for infants as young as 6 weeks old, toddlers, and preschoolers up to 3 years of age. We’re open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm, and we operate year-round, including in the summer.
Teaching Philosophy
Our program focuses on a play-based learning approach, designed to help your child develop motor and cognitive skills while having fun. I use music and arts as key parts of our daily activities, as these creative outlets are great tools for helping children express themselves and learn at their own pace. Your child will enjoy a variety of hands-on activities that promote exploration and creativity.
We also take occasional field trips which help the children learn through real-world experiences. Our in-home daycare includes a dedicated backyard space where children can safely play and enjoy the outdoors, a separate nap room, and a multipurpose room for a variety of indoor activities, from arts and crafts to music time.
Thank you for considering Brightwood Park Children's Corner, please don’t hesitate to contact me on CareLuLu. I look forward to meeting you and your little one soon!
