About

As a child care provider, I have a strong belief that ALL children are diverse and unique individuals who have strengths and are naturally curious. Children need to be provided with an organized, child-directed learning environment that emphasizes mutual respect, fun, discovery, literacy and and addresses sensory needs. In a supportive environment, I will provide the conditions for all children to construct knowledge, focusing on the learning process rather than the end product. Program Philosophy is based on principles of child development supporting the child to gain a sense of self-worth by helping them to develop at their own individual pace while learning basic skills feeling confident, secure enough to explore and grove in a stimulating educational and social environment. GOALS: - To offer early childhood care services in a way that is specially designed by my knowledge in early childhood education, according to the family's priorities, beliefs, and needs of the child. - To develop a nurturing relationship with each child and their family. - To provide play opportunities for all children who are enroll in my program. - To provide support and help for families as they seek out resources to meet their child's needs. I, as a child care provider, will work to create an environment that allows children to explore and be active, without requiring a lot of rules and restrictions, I will use positive guidance.

My 3-year old son started at The Learning Tree when he was 4 months old. It has been a truly wonderful experience! The teachers are extremely nurturing and their daily routine is great. There is outdoor time, consistent naps, arts & crafts, free play. The teachers pay a lot of attention to each child and provide detailed updates either through the app or in person at pick up. As a first time mom, I am so grateful for The Learning Tree for... more

My daughter has attended this daycare since she was 8 months old until just recently when she started going to DC public school at 3.5 years. This places has been fantastic. it's a small home daycare but it has a very loving environment. They go on walks and they always have activities. My daughter can count to 40 (was that even possible at 3?) because of the curriculum they have. The teachers are loving and very nourishing. I couldn't recommend... more

The Learning Tree has been a wonderful place for my two kids, now 1 and 3 years old. We had our older child in a larger and well-respected center for two years (pre-pandemic), but I find that at The Learning Tree they actually get more personalized care and individual attention. The teachers pay close attention to their health and feeding needs and speak to them primarily in Spanish. My older child does art and other activities every day that he... more

We love the Learning Tree! Ms. Dalia and her team are attentive, caring, creative and fun. We get daily reports verbally and by the app, as well as regular photos. Our daughter loves it so much; she talks about her teachers and her friends all the time, and always comes home with cute art. Her Spanish is also going really well, and she has been learning the alphabet, numbers, songs, colors, and more. We are amazed at her vocabulary/new words... more
