Southeast Children’s Fund (SCF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower underserved children, families, and the professionals who work with them to achieve success in school and in life by providing research-based, high quality, innovative programs and services in the area of early childhood care and education.
Founded in 1993, SCF serves young children (ages six months to three years), families, and early care and education professionals from Wards 7 and 8 of Washington, DC. SCF is licensed by the Office of State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) for meeting the highest quality standards in curriculum, facilities, nutrition, administration, and teaching.
