We currently have 14 preschools located at every elementary school in the Westminster School District, including Land School, serving children 3- to 5-years of age. To meet a variety of family needs we also offer a full day program (6 am to 6 pm) at Land School. We feel children learn best in a balance of child-initiated and teacher-directed learning. Children are given the freedom to make their own choices, initiate and explore their own thoughts, as well as to express them creatively. In addition, teachers integrate Smart Board Technologies and iPad minis into developmentally-appropriate activities to provide pre-academic learning in reading, writing, and mathematics. Outdoors, children have the chance to grow in coordination, balance and strength. Our overall goal is to provide a seamless transition from preschool to kindergarten and establish each child for school success and beyond.
