Celestial Child Care is a year-round, full-time only, home-based daycare in Alexandria, VA. Our family child care program is run by myself, Karla Florero. I have 21 years of child care experience. We are open from 7:30am until 5:45pm and care for children as young as 12 months through 4 years of age. (They usually graduate at age 4 to move on to preschool.) We provide meals (breakfast, lunch and pm snack) and offer a peanut/tree nut free environment. Celestial Child Care is a language immersion program that offers English and Spanish. We love our kids very much and teach them TONS of wonderful things, but our main focus is for them to have FUN at school and to learn to be good and kind children. We incorporate short periods of learning in between recess and free-play, but it is consistent, so they learn lots of wonderful things. Finding Ms Karla's daycare has been a godsend. My son enjoys going to her daycare and I know he is safe in her care. Not to mention he actually takes a nap (truly a miracle!)

I can't recommend Celestial Child Care highly enough! It's a wonderful place providing a loving and FUN environment. We love the bilingual education, learning activities, bright, open and colorful space and large outdoor playground. It's the perfect combination of structure and fun for my son who thrives on a routine and being outdoors! I love how much fun he's having, and how much he learns from the other children and activities. Ms. Karla and her staff are wonderful and incredibly communicative. I can't stress enough how grateful we are for having found Celestial Child Care to provide safe and reliable child care during these challenging times.

Our daughter has been with Ms. Karla for the past year, starting from 23-months old. She has grown in so many ways over the past year, transforming from a shy toddler to a talkative and vibrant almost-3-year-old. She talks all about her friends at school and genuinely enjoys going to Ms. Karla’s every day. Under Ms. Karla’s care she has made strides in academic types of ways, from learning to count and recognize colors in both English and Spanish, as well as in social ways. Ms. Karla does a great job providing the foundation for the development of good manners and respectful behavior. In addition to the curriculum, Ms. Karla offers a healthy dose of play and outdoor time. She genuinely cares about each child. We have been happy with our daughter in Ms. Karla’s care and feel she is more than prepared for her start in pre-school this fall.

We cannot say enough nice things about Celestial Child Care! Ms. Karla is wonderful with the children- and us parents too! The facility is awesome. It's clean and bright and well organized. There is so much for the children to do. They have fun and learn! I love the curriculum. Our son is learning manners, Spanish, and they do projects. I've seen so much growth in him since he's started there. Our son really does love it there- and that's what really matters! We are truly blessed that we found Ms. Karla and Celestial Child Care! We couldn't be happier!

Look no further than Celestial Day Care! After countless visits to various in home daycare facilities, I came to see Ms. Karla and was so impressed! Her daycare provides young children with a clean, safe, and loving environment to begin their learning. My daughter was so happy everyday I dropped her off! Ms. Karla attention and care she gives each child is amazing. She also supports new parents and gives the best advice based on her years of experience. Celestial Daycare is truly a gem!

If you’re looking for an amazing daycare, look no further. Ms. Karla is fantastic! I actually considered having another child (kind of) just to be able to send them to her. When my oldest daughter started with Karla, I was apprehensive, and nervous – no mother wants to leave her baby with a “stranger” all day. With Karla, all apprehensions were quickly squashed. She was like a second mother to my two girls. She greeted them with and smile and a hug the moment they walked in the door. In addition to a positive and nurturing environment, Karla provides a very rigid structure, which encourages growth and independence. Her daily activities support the children in all areas of development, including social emotional skills, fine and gross motor skills, and early literacy and early math skills. Ms. Karla was truly a gift to our family. It was a sad, sad day when my baby girl “graduated” from Karla’s daycare.

We have had an excellent experience with Karla caring for our daughter. Karla is very warm and welcoming and our daughter is happy to arrive at daycare every day. They provide the right amount of structure that toddlers need along with a great mixture of Spanish/English throughout the day. There is lots of outside playtime weather permitting. We feel very fortunate to have found Karla and have such peace of mind sending our daughter to her for care.

I've been so happy with Ms. Karla and Celestial child care. They treat my daughter so well, she loves going and never fusses to be dropped off. They do great learning activities and reach Spanish...even I'm learning as they bring home projects they work on that include Spanish words. They provide all the meals and snacks...breakfast and lunch. Amazing. They teach my daughter how to nap well, manners, how to pick up after herself and so much more and she's only 20 months. Started there at 14 months. I could go on and on about them. I also love that they always talk to you p, I never feel like they are pushing me out. I get stories, info and even advise on discipline tactics. I'm so happy and will be so sad when my daughter ages out.
