Veenu's Daycare, Derwood

Our children have been with this caregiver since they were each born. We love the home daycare atmosphere and the care our children have received. She gives them opportunities for learning, playing outside, music and more. Highly recommend!

We know our sons are in good hands at Veenu Duggal Family Child Care. Veenu provides professional childcare in a safe, fun, and educational environment for young children. Her employees are professional, capable, and kind. We send our two-year-old and infant sons to this daycare and they are excited every day to arrive. Our toddler is learning shapes, colors, and letters. There is music, singing, dancing, and lots of playing. We know our children are well looked after in this daycare.

Our son has been receiving childcare from Veenu from one year old to age four. Throughout all this time, Veenu went above and beyond in her care. She really goes above and beyond. Our son learned something new every day, and we had peace of mind that he is in a safe, clean and loving environment! We warmly recommend her as a daycare provider.

Veenu’s Day Care is the perfect place to send your child from diapers all of the way to Kindergarten. Both of my daughters have had such a great experience that highly recommend Veenu as your child’s provider. Veenu loves our girls like they are her own and treats our daughters with a lot of care. She always has open communication with the parents, but provides flexibility with pick-up and drop off times. Academically, Veenu is top notch. My oldest daughter was extremely prepared for Kindergarten and I give Veenu a lot of credit for laying those academic foundations in her preschool program. She will differentiate for the students based on their needs and provide that personal attention in order for them to be successful. We even gave her the Kindergarten words and materials that we received in order for her to begin working with our daughters during the summer. Our daughters also benefited socially being at Veenu’s. Since the students are of different age, my daughters have the social skills to be able to play with other kids that are not their age. They always run into school and have never once said that they never wanted to go. I love that they love school! No tears and no fears when dropping them off every morning. Veenu would be an excellent choice as your provider. We couldn’t be happier with the job that she has done.

Veenu's daycare is simply amazing. We entrust Veenu with both of our children - she has been watching our son since he was 8 weeks old! Unlike the academies and centers, Veenu has only taken one infant (under 1) at a time. This has made a HUGE difference to us as parents. The time and attention that our kids received when they were infants allowed them to always feel comforted, safe, secure and loved - all of which is essential at that young age - and essential to us as working parents. The other children at the daycare completely dote over the "baby" of the group - it's an incredible environment. While our children have grown past the infantile stage, they now run into Veenu's house with excitement, and are enriched daily through play, curriculum and love. Every day my son comes home and talks about how much fun he had, and he is so proud to show off the work that he has done that day (whether it's art, learning numbers, writing letters, etc.). Veenu is a superb teacher and treats each child as she does her own - with care, compassion and years of experience. Every day Veenu creates customized learning programs for each child which helps them develop and grow at their own pace. Veenu has plenty for the children to play with on their own, but also has the best ideas for the kids to also partake in structure / work time, art, music, and enrichment projects. Kids that have graduated from her daycare are often way ahead of their peers when they enter kindergarten - they are prepared! Veenu is really the best - we wouldn't entrust our kids to anyone else at this age. She has become family to us - we trust Veenu explicitly and both of our kids absolutely love and respect her. We are truly grateful every day that our kids are under her care.

My daughter has attended Veenu's daycare for 2 years. As my daughter was reaching formal pre-school age I toured 5 pre-schools and found the curriculum at Veenu's daycare to be similar to, or better than, those I visited. The small in-home daycare environment is fantastic.

My daughters have been in Veenu's care over the past 6 years and we have grown to know and lover her like family. The care that she shows is incredible and Veenu is an amazing example of how teaching individualized curriculum, based in the skills of each child, is so beneficial. I'm so happy that we found Veenu & know that we will always value and cherish her for the love and experience that she has provided.

Venu has cared for my 3 children, starting when the fist was 2 years old Venu is wonderful with the children, patient, loving but will be firm when necessary. Venu likes to challenge the children to do academic work and keeps my kids engaged in learning and helped my oldest daughter sail into kindergarten with ease. Venu worked with our family discipline policy, time out, to maintain consistency when needed through those terrible 2 times. She provides a safe environment without signage that is important to us in the times we live in. Venu is fair with her fees and schedules vacations well in advance so we can plan ahead.
