About me: Ms. Arlene
I have been doing Child Care for 33 years, and I enjoy every moment knowing how I am a part of their beginnings. I know it is difficult to make the decision where and who your child is going to be left with so I would like to set your mind at ease. This is a loving home environment with the benefits of creative learning. I have 2 children of my own. My son who is a United States Marine, and a daughter who is a Teacher with Montgomery County Schools. I could not be more proud.
Curriculum:
I encourage creative play, physical activity, hands on exploration, outdoor activities (weather permitting), social interaction and other developmentally appropriate learning activities. I prepare the children for Kindergarten by teaching them colors, numbers, shapes, letters/alphabet and the importance of sharing. We have reading time, arts and crafts, and free play. I potty train and teach the importance of hygiene (washing hands) and most importantly, manners(pleases and thank you) and kindness.

Where do I even begin? Ms. Arlene is a gift from above. Of course, making the decision to put my son in daycare was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to do. Ms. Arlene helped make this experience so much easier. She truly loves my son as if he were her own. I know that my son is in good hands with her. He has learned so much from her and is showing so much improvement with language and numbers. Most importantly, her home is very clean and she is very tech savvy! I know I can text her to check in on my son and she will respond or send me videos/pictures which is also very reassuring. I am truly blessed to have found her and I highly recommend her to anyone seeking childcare, especially if this is your first time, she will make the transition so much easier.

Ms. Arlene provides a warm and nurturing environment for the children in her care. She structures the day with a mix of fun and educational activities to provide variety, learning and physical activity. My child was Ms. Arlene from age 1.5 to 3.5. He learned good manners, his ABCs, beginning letter writing and how to interact with a group of children. Ms. Arlene was also essential in potty training. Our son has a food allergy and Ms. Arlene always ensured his safety by keeping allergens away. It was a wonderful, formative experience having our son taken care of by Ms. Arlene.

Miss Arlene has been an amazing family child care provider for my infant son. This was my first experience with having a child in day care and Miss Arlene helped make the transition as painless as possible. She did a great job communicating with me about how my son was adapting and learning as well as if there were any concerns. Her child care area is setup so that she can supervise all the children, even napping ones, at the same time. She also has a nice backyard play area that the children enjoy.

Our family has been so fortunate to have found Arlene. She has taken care of our daughter since she was 6 weeks old, and now she's almost 4. Arlene has taken care of our daughter as if she was part of her own family, and we can't be happier for the atmosphere and educational experience Arlene has provided. Her love and attention has undoubtedly helped shape our daughter's caring personality and also started her off on a very strong educational background. I am confident that our daughter will have the skills to start school at an advanced level due to the time and effort Arlene puts toward daily educational activities.
The easiest way to summarize everything about Arlene is that I can't believe we were able to be so lucky to have found her. It's been unbelievable watching our daughter thrive and thoroughly enjoy the environment that Arlene provides. She will always be considered as part of our family and we can't thank her enough.

We have had an outstanding experience with Ms. Arlene. We have trusted both of our sons at this daycare for almost a year, and they love the time they spend there .
