The Griffin Academy After School Care Program, Annandale

A state-licensed, on-site, after-school care program (ASCP) is offered to families with children in grades K-8. The program operates under the direction of a Westminster School administrator and is staffed in part by Westminster School teachers. ASCP Mission: To provide a safe, enjoyable program of on-site, after-school care which will be a fun, wholesome break from the school-day routine while also supporting the structure of the Westminster program. After-school care is available only to students who are registered for the program. Located in Fairfax County, in the heart of Annandale, the overall goal of the Griffin Academy is to provide a nurturing learning environment for preschool-aged children. Daily routines explore various topics, including academics, as well as social learning. Children are encouraged to use proper manners, learn to respect themselves and others, and to work and play together harmoniously. Children participate in weekly enrichment classes to include Art, Fit Kids, French, Music and Science. Approximately 8 field trips per year.
