London Towne Academy, Edgewater

London Towne Academy is a private school designed to meet the developmental needs of the young child. Our curriculum encourages children to be enthusiastic about their education. The school is dedicated to develop independent thinkers and instill in children a love of learning that they will carry with them throughout life. Through our program: Children develop skills necessary for learning Children have the opportunity to be challenged to their potential Children become aware of their own strengths and difficulties Children participate in cooperative learning groups and work independently for success Children develop a positive sense of self-esteem and self-worth School History London Towne Academy founded in 1993 as a Early Child Care Center, licensed by the Maryland Department of Human Resources, designed to meet the developmental needs of 3, 4 and 5 year old programs and after school extended care. In response to community needs, London Towne Academy expanded to provide an approved kindergarten class, which met the standards set forth by the Maryland State Board of Education. Today, London Towne Academy holds a Certifcate of Approval for Nonpublic Schools - Educational Programs, Maryland State Department of Education.
