Sunny Days Family Daycare is a licensed child care center regulated by MSDE Office of Childcare. Located in the Ballenger Creek area of Frederick Maryland, the center offers a preschool program for children ages 3-5. We combine fun and learning for your child at an affordable price. The center is open year round Monday-Friday (7:30am until 6:00pm). Here at Sunny Days Family Daycare, we strive to provide a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment where a child can freely explore and discover at his/her own pace. Our mission is to provide each child with the skills they need to make age appropriate choices and decisions, express their ideas and feelings and formulate and use age appropriate reasoning skills. When working with children and education it is always a partnership. Parents and teachers work together to find ways to maximize each child's potential. Our philosophy is based on the premise that children are active learners. They learn spontaneously if an environment is enriched with materials that they can choose to manipulate in many different ways. The environment at Sunny Days Family Daycare embraces a child's curiosity and fosters their active participation. Our ultimate goal is to prepare our children in their early years for the successful transition into school. As they continue on to the next step in their lives, we feel very confident that we have given the children a great start in life and to be life-long learners.  In-order to ensure that the individual needs, interests and abilities of each child is met, Sunny Days Family Daycare implements a curriculum which focuses on your child's development in four areas; social/emotional, cognitive, language and physical. The activities that are created for the curriculum allow the children to think creatively, to construct meaning from their experiences, and to apply problem-solving skills. Children build confidence to develop their independence and feel a sense of pride.
