A&D Stars is a home-based Chinese Dual Immersion Preschool Program that offers a unique opportunity for young children to effortlessly master communication and literacy skills in both Mandarin Chinese and English while obtaining a high-quality preschool education. Founded in 2015, A&D Stars provides a rich environment that supports optimal Chinese language learning by tying language to the day-to-day activities in our play-based curriculum. Children naturally acquire a broad vocabulary in Mandarin Chinese while developing social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills. English literacy instruction is also brought to the class every day to ensure that children acquire not only strong Mandarin skills but also the fundamentals of English literacy. Our classroom allows children to engage in an active, hands-on, spontaneous learning environment. We use the Maryland state recommended Creative Curriculum, and consistently adapt it to meet the needs of kids at different levels. Our highly qualified teachers (college degree and MSDE required preschool teacher qualification), small group size, and low child /teacher ratio enable us to deliver the best care and education in all aspects of our program. A&D Stars is fully registered with MSDE (LIC# 252956) and welcomes children ages 2-5 years. No prior exposure to Chinese is necessary. We are not a language school with Chinese fluency our only end goal; rather, we are a preschool program charged with the same mission to promote the highest possible levels of development for each child.
