About

The first Willowcreek Academy opened its doors in December 2003. Willowcreek Academy provides top of the line early childhood educational services to children four weeks through five years of age. A before and after school program and full time summer camp program is provided to children up to age 10. Our facility is open five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. We are open year around, excluding nine holidays. Attending children are provided with nutritious, well balanced breakfast, snacks and lunch. You will notice the difference between Willowcreek Academy and most other early childhood programs when you first enter the academy. Our building has been designed to offer a safe environment where children will receive the benefits of and fully enjoy their childhood. Upon entering, you will be greeted by one of our management team. The central areas of the center are decorated to give a warm, home-like atmosphere; this is intended to be both welcoming to children, and to help your child transition from home to a school environment. As you enter classrooms, off our central hall, you’ll see bright sunlit, clean, and well equipped large spaces where children are happily involved in activities with our faculty. Each classroom has been designed with a specific age group in mind, complete with equipment and materials that are developmentally appropriate. The interest areas in each classroom provide children many opportunities to explore, create, experience and enjoy. Our playgrounds have been designed as outdoor classrooms, combining creative play with large motor activities. Some of the playground activities include an amphitheater, climbers, sandboxes, art easels, and covered porches which allow year-round activities. Our educational program is designed to provide a rich and varied experience for your child. Children are encouraged to be adventurous in thought and action. Our program is well rounded; the faculty plans activities around all four domains: cognitive, physical, social, and emotional. Activities are set up to allow each child to achieve success through mastery while providing them with new learning activities that continue to challenge. Willowcreek Academy groups its classrooms by developmental levels, offering age and individually appropriate programs, allowing each child to develop according to his or her own learning style. Each child is unique, and our faculty is committed to helping each child develop at their own pace, recognizing their individual needs and interests. The success of any early childhood program is dependent on the faculty and administration that carry out the program. At Willowcreek Academy, our faculty is our greatest asset. They are professionals in every sense of the word. Faculty members are recruited based on their qualifications, experience and competence in working with young children. An orientation program has been established to make sure all faculty members understand the high educational, health, and safety standards established for our academy. Our staff is committed to providing an excellent early childhood program for your child. It is our hope that the partnership established between you and your child’s teacher will be a continual exchange of support, encouragement, and insight towards the growth and development of your child. Recognizing the role our faculty plays in our “commitment to excellence”, we offer our staff a professional, attractive, and educationally oriented working environment. We encourage our staff to stay with us by offering career advancement opportunities and a system of recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance and contributions. Recruitment and training will be a continuous process to assure quality professionals are in the teaching positions necessary to keep standards high.
