A little about myself, I have MAT, CPR & first aid certifications. I also have a masters degree in child psychology. As I mentioned in my ad, I have been running my home day care for almost 18 years. I take 16 hours of child care training every year to renew my child care license. I use my entire house for the daycare, as I don't believe in bounding the kids in only one section of my home, like some people have basement-only daycares. Each child in my daycare has their own bedroom with their own crib, so that their nap wont be disturbed by the other kids, unlike a nursery where all the cribs are lined up together. I believe that sleep is very important for little kids. 99\% of kids I have had in the past have been infants and I have helped grow into toddlers. These kids left my daycare when it was time for them to go to preschool. I help the kids build a base foundation of necessary skills they will need when they go off to preschool, like learning the alphabet, colors, shapes, etc. During the day, the kids and I read books, play pretend games, play with many many toys that I have, and we also go out into my backyard where I have a play set including swings and multiple slides that we play on, according to the weather. My rate is $300 per week per child. My house is located in Herndon, Virginia which is only 15 minutes from Dulles airport. My hours are around 8am-5:30pm, but can be adjusted. Please contact me for references from previous parents whose children I have cared for. I hope I have interested you all and I look forward to taking care of your children.
