CommuniKids Language Immersion Preschool began as a small, parent-run cooperative preschool in 2003 and has developed into the Region's premier children s language center and preschool. At CommuniKids, we prepare young children to become the global citizens of tomorrow while immersing them in a second language. We have our own proprietary approach to education called ECSL (pronounced "excel"). ECSL is an acronym for Early Childhood Second Language, a groundbreaking early childhood educational approach that prepares children for their K-12 education while promoting fluency in a second language through engaging, developmentally-appropriate activities. ECSL provides children with extended periods of instruction in a second language while giving them opportunities to develop their cognitive, linguistic, motor, and social-emotional skills. In other words, ECSL students master preschool skills while developing second language fluency. Our students gain an extremely high level of proficiency upon completion of our preschool program and are very well-prepared to succeed in Kindergarten and beyond. In our beautiful new center in Lansdowne, we offer full-immersion, play-based preschool in Spanish for children aged 18 months to 5 years old. Choose from full-day and half-day preschool options. We are open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We are currently enrolling all ages. In addition to our preschool, we offer weekly language classes for children ages 18 months to ten in Spanish, Arabic, French, and Mandarin Chinese. We also offer nine weeks of summer camp in all three languages.
