Common Ground Child Care Center, Reston

Due to the global pandemic, Common Ground is taking a stronger health protective approach to care. We have gone to an "open air/outdoor" model of care. We have limited hours to help keep groups "podded off" from one another and have made infrastructure improvements to our outdoor space as well. To keep to our social mission, we have been promoting community events that help other small businesses and build our community in a very safe way! Common Ground Child Care Center, located at 1700 Wainwright Drive in Reston, Virginia near Reston Town Center, is a not-for-profit corporation. The Center was started in 1972 by the Common Ground Foundation, an organization created to provide solutions for the needs of the community of Reston. Although day to day operations are handled by the Director, Common Ground Child Care has an all volunteer Board of Trustees whose members are ultimately responsible for all aspects of the center. They're entrusted with making sure that management decisions are in the best interest of the centers staff and children and that the original ideals under which the center was founded are upheld. The Center's goal is to provide high-quality child care to all segments of the community. We maintain this tradition by respecting and celebrating the diversity of all of our families and the community.
