Messiah Child Enrichment Program Preschool offers classes for children 2 to 4 years of age. Each classroom has one lead and at least one assistant teacher and the ratio of teachers to children is based on the age of the children. The ratios are at or better than the state of Virginia licensing requirements. All teachers are certified in CPR and First Aid every two years.
Our preschool provides for individual free play time, art, sand and water table activities, stories and songs, dramatic play, circle time, science, and learning centers, poems and finger plays, cooking and more. Music classes and Science classes are taught once a week.
As a Christian preschool, we are dedicated to providing a loving and safe environment and children attend chapel once a month.
The part time preschool offers 2, 3 and 4 day classes from 10 am to 2 pm. We currently offer After Care from 2 - 3:30 Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Starting in the Fall of 2025, we will offer Before Care from 9 am to 10 am and After Care from 2 pm to 4:30 pm daily. We will also offer a Monday "Camp Day" for our 3s and 4s classes to be able to offer 5 days of care for your children.

This year was our first year at CEP and the teachers and staff were very friendly and welcoming. My daughter looked forward to going to school and I was amazed by how many projects ( crafts, sensory bins, reading, etc) they accomplished in their class each day. I also felt very safe with my daughter at this preschool. And all students spend time each day on the shaded large playground area. What a wonderful, thoughtful, program.

we love this play based school. My children have so much fun here and the teachers are truly caring. They have new activities regularly and a constant sensory, developmental toy/experience rotation. Good friendships were made with respect for everyone’s feelings as well as my child’s own feelings. The playground is great with a huge sandbox as well. it’s always shaded and the children get outside each day unless the weather is really bad!

We love CEP! The curriculum is hands on and play-based, and the teachers are so passionate and dedicated. The staff share pictures and activity details each day via an app to keep parents informed. My kids are both absolutely thriving in CEP’s engaging environment and are so excited for next school year!
