The primary objective of James Lee Preschool is to provide a loving, stimulating, and safe environment for all children. We teach children by offering a variety of different experiences and helping them to adapt to the changing environment and conditions. We strive to provide an environment where children can explore, discover, and learn about the world around them. It is our goal to provide affordable curriculum-oriented childcare for working parents. We work hard to create a nurturing and safe learning environment. We focus on all areas of development including cognitive, fine motor, gross motor, self-help and social-emotional. We are proud of the diverse population of children and families we serve as this is just one of the characteristics that makes us a special and invaluable child care facility. James Lee Preschool offers a safe and secure learning environment that is fully licensed to provide preschool and day care services in Fairfax County. We have modified our classrooms in a developmentally appropriate way. Each classroom has separate learning areas for Dramatic Play, Literacy, Building Blocks, Analytical skills, Art, Science, and Fine and Gross Motor Skills. As early childhood educators, we know that children who are in a safe and supportive environment learn better and show more interest in learning. While our activities vary from day to day, the fundamental schedule remains consistent. Our daily lessons and activities are age appropriate and designed to allow the students to engage in self-direction in an effort to meet the needs of the whole child. The children’s needs and interests guide our teachers in their lesson planning.
