Welcome to Angel Child Care! I’m Farzin, a mom of two with 26 years of experience in child care, and I run this independently owned and operated, licensed daycare. My child care program follows a play-based teaching philosophy with elements of Montessori to help children learn and grow in a nurturing environment.
My tuition can be somewhat flexible, so please contact me so that we can discuss your specific situation, and I'll be happy to provide you with my tuition rates. The daycare space is warm, inviting, and well-decorated, with lots of natural light and age-appropriate furniture and toys. I keep the program small with very few children, allowing me to give each child more individual, one-on-one attention.
Highlights
- Very few children per teacher, ensuring lots of one-on-one attention
- Charming and inviting facilities with lots of age-appropriate toys
School Environment
My daycare is conveniently located near a bus stop, the Sam Eig Highway, Fields Road Elementary, and the Shady Grove Shopping Center. I accept children as young as 6 months up to 4 years old, and the daycare operates year-round.
The daycare space is in my home’s fully furnished basement, which is used solely for the program. It’s a pet and smoke-free environment, and I also have a small paved and fenced-in patio where children can play safely outdoors.
I provide mostly organic, home-cooked meals that are peanut and tree-nut free, all prepared according to the USDA Food Program guidelines. I can accommodate special dietary needs or allergies, and if parents prefer, they can send food from home. Nursing mothers are encouraged to bring breast milk for their babies.
My program has a standard vacation and sick policy: If a child has a fever of 101°F or loose bowels, they must be picked up within an hour and remain symptom-free for 24 hours before returning. Please note that I do not offer reduced tuition for missed days due to illness or vacation.
Learning Environment
I keep the group small, with no more than eight kids at a time. My play-based teaching approach includes Montessori methods that encourage children to become independent while using redirection as a positive discipline method.
Children are engaged in reading, writing, math, science, art, and music as part of the daily curriculum. My program is development-focused and includes teaching life skills and good manners.
As a native Farsi speaker, I can incorporate the language into the program if requested by parents. Weather permitting, children enjoy at least 3 hours of outdoor activity every day.
Teachers & Safety
As the caregiver, lead teacher, and owner, I bring 26 years of experience caring for children. I’m a mom of two, CPR and First Aid certified, and M.A.T. certified, which means I can safely administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as needed.
I undergo a background check every two years to ensure a safe environment for all children. I sanitize toys daily, and I promptly report any injuries (like bumps or scrapes) to parents with an immediate phone call, a verbal update at pick-up, and a written report.
I look forward to providing a loving, safe, and enriching environment for your child to thrive!
