New Day Preschool, Rockville

New Day Preschool is a Christian-oriented preschool program operated by the Rockville United Methodist Church. Open since 1968, the preschool has always enjoyed an excellent reputation because of its fine program and dedicated staff. The program is developmental, emphasizing growth in all areas: physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual. Our curriculum teaches art, music, literature, the natural and physical sciences, and community life. It also offers young children a place to work and play with their peers, and lets them practice these newly formed skills to help make their lives more enjoyable and fulfilling. New Day Preschool had its beginnings in the sixties when a group of young women at RUMC formed a new Bible study and fellowship group, New Day Circle. Many of these women had young children and needed child care for them during their monthly meetings. While the school began to provide child care for the circle once a month, we have now grown to a five day a week program. We are open nine months out of the year and are fully licensed by the State Department of Education.
